When this place was Brandywine it was wonderful. Since RUI took over it has gone down hill. Management doesn’t care about the residents or staff. There has been a lot of staff and residents leaving. RUI has jacked up the rent and has added 150 junk fee. When RUI took over they said they were going to make the place better they have only made it worse. All the 5 star reviews are from employees and upper management.

A stunning community. The staff are friendly and warm, the menu and meal selections are delicious, and their engagement offerings through their Signature Programs are one-of-a-kind. Every aspect of this community is thoughtful and purposeful, in true RUI fashion. A few of my favorites are their therapy pool and Penthouse floor level, to include a dedicated Penthouse Concierge! You must visit and you won’t be disappointed.

We are moving my elderly relative out of Elance At West End. Since Rui took over the place has deteriorated. Poor food, issues with medication management, unfriendly staff members. Rates went up 7% and they are trying to nickel and dime residents with junk fees of $150 a month. Food has gone from great to horrible. Same food served multiple days in a row and very salty. Families told rui doesn't spend as much as before per person on food. Call button times are horrible. Some families reported over an hour. The list of issues goes on and on. Residents seem to be leaving in droves. We are just one of many families that have moved loves ones or are in the process of doing so. Management seems unwilling and/or unable to fix the issues and senior management at rui don't even respond to discuss the issues. I do not recommend this place anymore which is a shame as it was great a couple years ago.

This facility used to be run by Brandywine Living and merited about a 4.5/5.0 stars. In the slightly more than 6 months under the name Elance @ West End (run by RUI), it has absolutely nose-dived to about a 2.0/5.0 stars. Disappointing!
