Living Out Palm Springs

The concept of this place is great had it ever been achieved. I would say that it is grossly mismanaged but that would imply that there is actually any discernible management at all. Promises are made and never kept, the place is a constant construction zone making living here nearly impossible at times and in short it is general chaos. If you believe the hype about "luxury living" you're in for a surprise because they used the cheapest possible materials and appliances possible. I could go on about the multitude of issues but there's no point. Owners and managers are gone most of the time and the place continues to decline. Had I been told about the building construction that is ongoing and the new construction that has just started adjacent to the property there is no way I would have moved here. I can't wait until my lease is up and I can move out.

This place has deteriorated so much in just six months of living here. I rented a $7800 a month apartment months after my husband passed. Instead of being my forever home, it has become my daily nightmare. Owners and management did not inform me of a notice that the vacant lot on which I looked was being developed into a condo project. The last thing I wanted or needed is an active bulldozing and construction site right in front of all my views from my windows! Otherwise, failures in security, cleanliness, amenities, dead, dying, missing plants, encroachment of peaceful enjoyment of my home, art walks in the hallways, broken pool furniture, noisy restaurant patrons, elevator used for construction defects correction, and so on just makes Living Out Apartments a TO BE AVOIDED" in Palm Springs!

My husband passed in December, and I needed a new start after four years of caregiving. I saw a video about Living Out in Palm Springs. It seemed like a dream come true. Like a lamb to slaughter, I was led down the garden path to a life of carefree living in an LGBTQ 55+ apartment community. I signed the lease effective March 1. What a difference six months makes. Living Out Palm Springs is in complete freefall. It was going to be my forever home. Not now. No one knows exactly what happened, but residents are assaulted daily with never-ending construction activity even though the building is finished. Owners and management will explain away everything except the problems persist. Security is a big problem. Doors are propped open. Gates open in different locations when only one set is activated to open. Amenities are disappearing, with no adjustment to the high rents.
