While the owners of this facility are really nice people. The actual home is less than desirable. Many, many problems here. When Samantha worked she did a excellent job, but she’s only one person. Recently on a vist I witnessed Juan fall flat on his face. He should have been taken to a hospital to get checked out, they had a hard time getting him up & when someone suggested calling 911 to assist,, the lady who didn’t speak good English replied No, we are not calling. Often they appeared short staffed, my loved one very often wasn’t given the chance to brush his teeth, or have help to put on his compression socks which were mandated by his doctor. One morning, my loved one, slept through breakfast & when i went out to ask for a bowl of cereal for him, I was told, he didn’t need to eat, he wasn’t hungry, I persisted that maybe he wasn’t earlier, but he is now & would like something to eat. I was met with a huff & a eye roll by the large lady who works there. Please look elsewhe.

The owner of this facility should have a word with its staff . I had the opportunity to visit on several occasions. A resident left the facility on her own and was told by a guest of the misfortune. So the resident was recovered near the road. The same day harsh words were exchanged between a staff member and a resident, visibly shaking the residents demeanor. The resident that I visited preferred warmer water and was told it would warm up . That’s what you get . There is a difference in being understaffed and having some basics , in effective communication. No resident should have to endure that type of treatment and lack of support . Although dealing with dementia is a difficult task , the chosen career path of that staff may need to be reviewed, for the future success of your facility. Currently there is very little reason to recommend to anyone that they investigate a family members future , in the care of your staff on hand . Good luck with your future. Concerned is the word .
