The reviews provide a mixed perspective on various memory care and assisted living facilities, highlighting both positive and negative experiences. Many reviewers appreciate the friendly and caring staff, noting that they often go above and beyond to ensure residents feel like family. Facilities like The Ridge at Lancaster and The Rutherford Memory Care are praised for their cleanliness, organization, and the personal touch of hiring their own medical staff, which is particularly beneficial for residents with dementia. Activities such as bingo, crafts, and religious services are commonly mentioned as positive aspects that engage residents. However, some reviews point out significant issues, such as understaffing, unfulfilled promises, and poor communication with management. Concerns about theft, cleanliness, and maintenance are also raised, with some reviewers feeling that management prioritizes filling rooms over resident care. The turnover of staff, especially when agencies are used, is highlighted as a problem for residents who need consistency. Overall, while many families and staff members express satisfaction with the care provided, others caution potential residents to consider other options due to management and staffing challenges. The importance of a home-like atmosphere and a sense of community is emphasized, with some facilities excelling in creating a welcoming environment, while others fall short.

I have a parent living here and hear constant complaints about the food. Hot dogs, bologna sandwiches for supper? Mostly some type of boiled potato or French fry as a side...next to no green or healthy vegetables. This is not a senior nutritious diet! My parent says most of the residents leave most of the food on their plates as it's overcooked, mushy fried. Am looking for another center.
