Seniorly surveyed 100 of our local agents and found that 97% of senior living communities are offering discounts in 2021. Facing vacancies caused by both the pandemic and new supply on the market, senior community operators have started offering discounts on community fees, monthly rent, and care fees, even offering a month or two of free rent to new residents. Additionally, 21% of agents report that communities are offering higher referral rates in their markets.
