Seniorly Community Score: How is it calculated

The Seniorly Community Score is a culmination of valuable data points designed to provide you with the most transparent and insightful information available. We believe this will make your search for your perfect senior living community significantly easier and less stressful. Here's what goes into calculating this score:

  • Profile Completeness: Does the community listing provide all the essential information you need? This includes high-quality images, a detailed description of amenities and services, and transparent pricing structures. A complete profile reflects a community's commitment to transparency and professionalism.
  • Visitor to Inquiry Ratio: This factor considers how many people visit a community's page on Seniorly compared to the number who inquire directly for more information. A high visitor-to-inquiry ratio indicates strong initial interest, potentially reflecting a community's local brand and reputation.
  • Seniorly Family Reviews: Verified reviews from families with loved ones in the community offer invaluable insights into real-life experiences. These reviews are a crucial factor as they highlight the community's strengths and weaknesses from a resident's perspective.
  • Seniorly Recommendation Factor: Seniorly also partners with select communities to enrich data, ensure family satisfaction. We also receive placement fees, paid by the community, for families that move into these facilities. This factor accounts for between sixteen and twenty percent of the overall Seniorly score.
  • Local Senior Living Advisor Recommendation Factor: Our team of local senior living advisors has first hand knowledge of senior living options in your area. Their recommendations, based on their experience and expertise are factored into the score.
  • External Ratings on the Web: To build a well-rounded assessment, Seniorly draws from multiple review sources across the web. Additionally, the Seniorly Community Score is further modulated by location to ensure that our score represents the quality of the local senior living landscape . This means that scores are adjusted to account for the overall quality of care in a specific area, and that communities are evaluated within the context of their local market.

Each of these factors is carefully weighted to create a final score (out of 10) that reflects the overall quality and appeal of a senior living community. This easy-to-understand metric empowers you to quickly compare communities and prioritize those that best align with your needs.
