My mother was left in a room with no working nurse's buzzer for four days. She spent those four days crying for help to staff as they passed by her open door, but not a single person responded to her cries for help. The room also had no working power outlets, so even though her phone was plugged in, it died and she was unable to contact me to ask for help. My mom was supposed to be there just for a few days as she recovers from a recent hospitalization, but she has been there for two weeks now and there is no end in sight. This is because they have yet to serve her one single meal that complies with her medical dietary restrictions, so she remains very weak and is not gaining any weight or making progress in her PT.
