Heartland Health Care Center - Greenville East

I wish there was a minus one million score to give Heartland East/Promedica, because it is the worst place I have ever seen regarding the majority of staff on the 400 unit. There are a few excellent people who must work themselves to death as the ones I encountered were uncaring...didn't answer lights while chatting at the desk and a man cried out in pain for help for 30minutes in one instance. The person dispensing meds was having a personal conversation on the phone while ignoring call lights and setting up meds. My loved one was not allowed a sitter at night, company policy, even though there were no alarms on the bed, she has dementia and could not summon help,and was known to get out of bed by herself. She was there to recover from a broken hip. Staff declined to check on her more frequently as "they made rounds every two hours and she shouldn't be here if she couldn't ring for help." DON'T send your loved one here. Poorly run, poorly staffed, dirty, broken wheelchairs, Awful !.
