Buena Vida was built by Minto Homes from 2003 to 2007 and offered two different home collections; The Renaissance Collection and The Reserve Collection. Between both collections, there are 449 single-family homes in Buena Vida, which are situated on a waterfront or private lot.

The Renaissance Collection had 4 different floorplans to choose from with a living square footage ranging from 1,886 up to 2,374. The smallest home features 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Bathrooms, and a 2 Car Garage and the largest home also has 2 Bedrooms + Den, but has a half bath more. Every home in this collection has a minimum lot size of 50'x110' and is one story.

The Reserve Collection had 3 different floorplans to choose from with a living square footage ranging from 2,535 up to 3,328. The smallest home features 3 Bedrooms + Den, 3 Bathrooms, and a 2 Car Garage while the largest home has 3 Bedrooms + Dent and 3.5 Bathrooms. All of the homes in this collection are also one story, except two of the floorplans had an option for a guest suite to be built above the garage. Lot sizes in the Reserve Collection are much larger than the Renaissance Collection and will be a minimum of 70'x110'.
