The Meridian at Waterways receives mixed reviews, highlighting both its strengths and areas for improvement. Many reviewers praise the facility's stunning location, beautiful views, and aesthetically pleasing environment, likening it to a luxury hotel. The staff is often described as friendly, caring, and attentive, with specific mentions of individuals who go above and beyond in their roles. The dining experience is frequently commended, with the chef's willingness to accommodate personal recipes being a standout feature. However, some reviews point to significant issues, particularly concerning healthcare and management. There are reports of inconsistent care, medication errors, and slow response times. The facility has faced criticism for high staff turnover and a perceived focus on profit over resident care. Some reviewers express dissatisfaction with the quality of food and the lack of activities, especially in the memory care unit. Financial concerns are also noted, with some finding the facility overpriced for the services provided. Despite these challenges, many residents and their families express overall satisfaction, appreciating the community's efforts to create a welcoming and supportive environment. The facility's ability to handle emergencies, such as hurricanes, is praised, and there are positive remarks about the new management's potential to improve services. Overall, while The Meridian at Waterways offers a visually appealing and generally positive living experience, it faces ongoing challenges in maintaining consistent care and addressing resident concerns.

I am really impressed with the staff and management of Senior Living Communities such as Symphony and The Meridian at the Waterways. I witnessed firsthand how hard they work, from the healthcare team all the way through to maintenance, to ensure that their residents are taken care of and happy. In particular, I want to thank Nurse [name redacted] for her prompt response to a guest medical issue, [name redacted] for organising activities for the residents, [name redacted] in maintenance for keeping everything running smoothly, and [name redacted] for his leadership during a stressful situation. All these wonderful people make these senior living facilities feel like home!
