The entire staff at The Lynmoore are absolutely outstanding! From keeping family informed about your loved one to the respect and care they give to the residents. I am there frequently and see this every time I visit. My Uncle has been there for 2 years and before that he was in an assisted living place in Vero, (that place was no good). I was very impressed with The Lynmoore and still am. I have dined with my Uncle and the food is really good, I like the presentation they give for the Seniors to have a visual of the daily choices on the menu. The activities and exercise time is perfect for the residents. I highly recommend visiting The Lynmoore and consider your loved one living there.

A few things you should know about the newly acquired Lynmoore, by the Phoenix Group, in Ft. Pierce, Florida. My Mom has been a resident for almost 1 year. Had I known how absolutely pathetically awful this place is, I would have kept her home with me! PLEASE READ ON! 1. Let's begin at the beginning -- Entering & exiting the facility. The main entry doors are "locked" @7pm as there is no staff at the "check-in desk". There is nobody there ALL NIGHT LONG! I am with my mother all day every day. There are nights I leave at 6, 8 and even 11pm. There is absolutely NO SECURITY at the doorway! This place needs security for the seniors that live there! That is an immediate concern that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. 2. The pictures on the website look so wonderful! But, let's get real! I have NEVER seen tablecloths on the dining room tables! We are lucky to have matching salt & pepper shakers, or any salt & pepper at all! Most important, staff members rarely, if ever, smile at the residents. Also, they ask the residents which of the 2 choices they want to eat, but never mention soup or salad, side dishes, roll & butter, and dessert! So, if you say you want the stuffed pepper, that is ALL you get in your plate or styrofoam container for those that choose to stay in their rooms. AND now they are charging you a fee to eat in your room!!!! And what about drinks? Is there an unwritten law that old folks can only drink apple or cranberry juice with dinner? Seniors or not: They are people who have earned and deserve our respect! Perhaps they would like a Coca-Cola, or a sip of wine. THE FOOD: I WOULD NOT FEED THE "FOOD" SERVED TO THE RESIDENTS TO MY DOG! I have stayed for many meals with my Mom. I bit the bullet and paid $10.00, yes $10.00 to have dinner with my Mom. I would say I had 2, possibly 3 bites of my food and just could not stomach any more! It was just that bad! I could have purchased 3 cheeseburgers at a fast food place and they would have been so much more delicious! I often stop and stand in the doorway of the dining room and watch the residents quietly swallowing their "food". I know there are some folks with issues of sorts, but I wonder, as a whole do these people actually like the food or do they just not know what they are eating? Then there are the issues like my Mom's cable tv. I have requested maintenance to fix the connection several times. The picture is all lines. This is a brand new 50" tv! So, I think the issue is with the connection at the wall coming into Mom's room. Especially since I have tried to tighten it and it just goes around and around. I have made 4 requests for this to be fixed. And of course I must mention the "care takers", is that what we're calling them now? There are the small handful of people who are there because they actually care for the residents. But, the majority do a very poor job. I can see they don't want to be there any more than I want them there. Oh, there is so much more that is slowly bringing this place down. I do my part to keep potential new residents aware of the true Lynmoore, not the one [Staff Member] paints of a beautiful picture of during her tours.
