What families are saying

Lake Morton Senior Living receives mixed reviews, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. Many residents and their families appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, spacious apartments, and a variety of activities that foster a sense of community. The facility is praised for its affordability, central location, and beautiful views, particularly from the balconies. Some residents enjoy the food, describing it as excellent, while others find it lacking in quality and variety. However, several concerns are raised about the facility's age, with some describing it as old-fashioned and in need of updates, particularly in common areas like hallways and elevators. Cleanliness is another issue, with reports of unclean conditions and pest problems. The elevator service is frequently criticized for being slow and unreliable, causing inconvenience for residents. There are also serious allegations of staff misconduct, including theft and mistreatment of residents, which have led to distrust among some families. Communication with the administration is noted as inconsistent, with some residents feeling their concerns are not adequately addressed. The facility's transition to accommodate more Medicaid residents has reportedly led to a mix of independent and assisted living residents, causing tension and safety concerns. Overall, while Lake Morton Senior Living offers a welcoming environment with a strong sense of community, it faces challenges in maintaining facility standards and addressing resident concerns effectively. Potential residents are advised to conduct thorough research and consider both the positive and negative feedback before making a decision.

I recently moved into a two bedroom apartment at Lake Moron Plaza. I used to live at another independent living community before this and this has been a huge upgrade as a lower cost. From the initial consultation to movineing in was a very seemless process. The administration staff are very prompt with any queries that you have throughout. I am very happy with my spacious apartment and it has a beautiful view from the balcony. I would recommend it to anyone looking for independent living apartments.
