The reviews for Starling facilities present a mixed picture. Starling at Nocatee has received significant criticism, with reports of neglect, poor communication, and inadequate care. A reviewer detailed a distressing experience involving their mother, highlighting issues like delayed medical attention, mishandling of COVID-19 protocols, and refusal to re-admit a patient post-hospitalization. The facility was also accused of theft and having an abusive patient. Conversely, some reviews praised the activities and amenities, noting a positive experience with the activities director and the facility's pool. Starling of San Jose generally received more favorable reviews. Many reviewers appreciated the clean and well-maintained environment, attentive staff, and variety of activities offered. The dining experience was often highlighted positively, with some comparing it to a cruise ship. However, there were concerns about management, staff turnover, and construction issues affecting meal services. Some reviewers noted a decline in service quality over time, describing management as unresponsive and focused solely on occupancy. Overall, while Starling of San Jose is often described as a pleasant and well-organized facility with engaging activities and caring staff, Starling at Nocatee has faced severe criticism for its handling of patient care and management issues. Potential residents and their families are advised to consider these factors when choosing a facility.

I have had a lot of interaction and experience with Starling at Nocatee over the past 12-18 months, and I can honestly say it has all been positive. It's a fantastic place! The folks who work there are all extremely professional and excellent at their jobs. They treat all of the residents with respect - like they're family. The building itself and the amenities are all first-class. I heard someone say they felt like they were at a five-star resort, and that is very true! Every time I look, there are new activities and things going on at the community. There is definitely no shortage of things to do for the residents. I can't say enough good things about Starling at Nocatee .
