The reviews for Oaks at Snellville and Eastside Gardens present a mixed picture of both facilities. Oaks at Snellville receives praise for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and engaging activities, with some reviewers highlighting the facility's welcoming environment and attentive care. However, there are significant criticisms regarding slow response times, inadequate wheelchair accessibility, poor food quality, and insufficient staffing, particularly during nights and weekends. Some reviewers also mention issues with medication management and limited transportation options. Eastside Gardens is generally appreciated for its caring staff, intimate setting, and secure environment, which is particularly valued for residents with dementia. The facility is noted for its activities, such as Bingo and outings, and the staff's efforts to make new residents feel welcome. However, some reviews point out that the facility is older and could benefit from updates, with occasional concerns about cleanliness and odors. The memory care unit receives mixed feedback, with some finding it restrictive and others appreciating the security measures. Overall, both facilities have strengths in staff friendliness and resident activities, but they face challenges in areas like response times, food quality, and facility updates. Potential residents and their families should weigh these factors when considering either location.

The Oaks at Snellville was a regrettable choice. Response times are nothing like promised. Consistently one to one and a half hours. Medication management is poorly safeguarded! Understaffed and no manager or supervisor at night or weekends. Foods is unacceptable. Portions are inadequate. Nothing is fresh and alternatives are rarely available. Transportation to appointments is very limited. Outings are limited and poorly executed. Rooms are not fully wheelchair functional. No room to roll up under the sink in the bathroom. No roll in shower. You must be able to transfer to a shower chair that you must supply yourself.

Terrible choice. The rooms are not fully wheelchair functional. The promised response time of 15 minutes is a joke. Response is typically 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Medication management is poorly safeguarded! The food is unacceptable. The portions are tiny. The bread and rolls are always stale. A hot dog bun is considered a hoagie. 4 French fries is a serving. 1/4 to 1/2 of a sandwich at times is served as an entree. Under staffed and no supervisor or management at night or weekends.
