My mother has been at Legacy Village at Plantation Manor for four years. Caregivers are for the most part very good; facility is clean and well-taken care of. Maintenance and housekeeping are excellent. However, the food -- mostly from lack of quality product more than poor preparation, but poor/careless prep also involved -- continues to be HORRIBLE even after repeated meetings with food services director and the past three executive directors. Desserts mostly uncooked, raw pastry with about a teaspoon of filler; example: blueberry "cobbler" and peach "cobbler" are recent examples. Two small chunks of peaches. Any time a "fruit cup" is on the menu, that means one of those little plastic cups of mandarin oranges that can be purchased in a six-pack at a dollar store. This "fruit cup" has been served over and over and over again for the four years my mother has been at this facility. Meats served: inedible pork chops, tougher than shoe leather, and very thin. Pork roast is mostly fat. Breaded chicken strips and hot dogs served repeatedly. These are NOT nutritional meals.
