I am looking for a place for Dad. I visited yesterday unannounced. Nobody at the front desk. I walked in and looked around. Nobody anywhere. A few old ones in the common area playing canasta. I called the phone number listed, nobody answered, I went to voicemail and the voicemail box was full. I called again today to schedule a walk through, again no answer, went to voicemail and the mailbox was full, again. Make your own mind up on this place.

My mother has been at Addington in Prairie Village for two years. Initially, the team was great. The food has never been great and now it is inadequate in quantity, quality, and is intolerable. I have always had a good relationship with the nursing and medicine techs. They have always been responsive to Mom's health needs, particularly if I discuss the problems with them. I would recommend using your own doctor for your loved one's lab work and diagnosis. The management in terms of executive director, director of nursing, and assistant director of nursing, has changed multiple times in the past two years. The residents, families, and some staff are upset with the frequent turmoil.
