The reviews for The Wellington facilities in Dayton and Springfield present a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise the friendly and caring staff, clean facilities, and variety of activities offered. Residents and their families appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, with some noting the spacious apartments and good food options. The facilities are described as beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a strong sense of community. Memory care and independent living options receive positive feedback for their supportive environments. However, there are notable criticisms, particularly regarding assisted living services. Some reviewers express dissatisfaction with the level of care, citing issues like medication errors, inadequate staffing, and poor communication. Concerns about high staff turnover, cold food, and lack of activities when visitors are absent are also mentioned. A few reviews highlight problems with the dining experience and maintenance, such as outdated carpets and elevators. While some families feel relieved and satisfied with the care their loved ones receive, others have moved their relatives elsewhere due to unmet needs. The cost of living at The Wellington is a concern for some, with reports of rent increases and perceived value not matching the price. Overall, while The Wellington receives commendations for its community feel and staff dedication, there are areas for improvement, particularly in assisted living and operational consistency.

I recently had the pleasure of transitioning my parents into The Wellington, an assisted living facility. The administrative and facility staff were incredibly helpful in making sure the process was as stress-free as possible for us. Everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff were friendly and welcoming to my parents, making them feel right at home. I was truly amazed by how involved management was in day-to-day operations, always being available when I needed to speak with someone. If you're looking for an ideal new home for a family member or friend, The Wellington is definitely worth considering.
