The reviews for Westmont at Short Pump present a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise the facility for its beautiful environment, friendly and caring staff, and a wide range of activities and amenities. The community is often described as clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, with several positive mentions of the dining experience and the Life Enrichment team. Residents and their families appreciate the warm atmosphere and the attentive care provided by staff members, including the nursing and rehabilitation teams. However, there are notable criticisms, particularly regarding payment issues and administrative inefficiencies. Some musicians and freelancers report difficulties in receiving payment for services rendered, requiring legal intervention to resolve. Additionally, there are complaints about slow responses from administrative staff and disorganization, particularly during the move-in process. A few reviews mention a decline in food quality and quantity, and concerns about the memory care unit's staffing and activities. Overall, while many residents and visitors express satisfaction with the community's offerings and the dedication of certain staff members, there are significant concerns about management practices and communication, which detract from the otherwise positive experiences.

I had the pleasure of taking a tour at Westmont Short Pump in November. I can honestly, I was truly impressed with the decor, staff, and facility as a whole. The place was immaculate, and the location was superb! The amenities alone were very impressive from the dining hall, movie theater, library, in-house beauty salon and physical therapy. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for senior housing.

This community is stunning on the inside and out! My grandmother lives here, and I came to visit her while I was in town for my fall break. We ended up having a meal in the dining room and I was blown away by how good the food is. I have other relatives that are in assisted living places and their food is not very good so I was surprised when I ate dinner here how amazing it was. It was like I was sitting in a restaurant.

I am extremely happy here at the Westmont. The assistance during the entire process - with both family and me - was exemplary. The responses to all inquiries and requests(and there were many!) were all handled in a prompt, positive manner. ALL personnel encountered working here have been extremely courteous and helpful, especially housekeeping, general maintenance, and the servers in the dining room (they really deserve a bonus!) Thanks for the opportunity to express my appreciation.

This community is beautiful on the inside and out. Very modern amenities. We stopped by this community one weekend to visit a family friend and were impressed by the decor, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the TEAM! Everyone was smiling and greeted us. Debbie, the front desk receptionist welcomed us and helped us get to our loved one's room no questions asked. We ended up ordering food to her room from the kitchen, which was very convenient and delicious. When I begin looking for a facility for my parents, I will be keeping Westmont on the list.

This is a beautiful facility, no doubt about it. Many of employees are kind and hardworking. However there is horrible communication. We have had numerous medication issues even though we use the in-house service. Most recently a new medication was prescribed, delivered, and never given. Two emails/calls about this to leadership have remained unanswered. Insurance wont agree to refill and no one will tell me what happened with it so we are in limbo. Previously my LO was given too much medication, which made them extremely sick. Falls are not reported either. Mistakes happen, but the utter lack of any response to emails or calls is infuriating. You have to physically show up and hope you can find a nurse willing to show you the current medication orders to find out what's going on. Even then, its anyone's guess as to whether they are being given or why they have not been updated. We've had ongoing billing issues as well--again, simply no communication. Its like a brick wall.
