When the decision was made that my mom would no longer be able to live alone she immediately said the McCormick Home was were she wanted to go. My mom based her decision on all of the wonderful things she’d heard over the years from family members and friends who had been there. We learned quickly this was NOT at all the same place that had always been rated so highly. The majority of the rooms are freezing all the time, the hallways smell because soiled linens are left outside of rooms all day long. The rooms are dirty and there is no housekeeping to speak of. Sometimes you get fed and sometimes there’s a note posted by the elevator that the kitchen is closed so no food is served at all. I could go on and on about the lack of care provided at the McCormick Home but I won’t. Instead I just want people to know this is NOT the McCormick that once was so respected for the quality care it provided.
