More than 100 Years Strong
Founded in 1904, Presbyterian Homes is an independent, not-for-profit and faith-based organization providing the highest level of quality independent living residential communities, health-care programs, and services for older adults from diverse backgrounds. Our Reputation for Excellence
At Presbyterian Homes, we provide exceptional services and amenities, but what separates us is our financial strength and our national reputation for excellence. With the rising cost of care, this ensures that your future needs can be met, providing you more flexibility without the worry or burden.
We give you peace of mind by providing estate preservation and a lifestyle free of worries about future health care and associated costs. We include a range of health care services in return for a one-time entrance fee and ongoing monthly service fee. The fees are based on the size of the home you select. You may choose for the entrance fee to be non-refundable or, depending on the community, from 50% to 90% refundable to you or your estate if you leave the community for any reason.
You’ll have access to any level of care — assisted living, skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services and specialized memory care — whenever it may be needed. And you’ll receive this care from highly trained staff in the familiar surroundings of your own community. You can rest easy knowing you’ve provided for every contingency, and concentrate on simply living life and pursuing your interests.
We are pleased to report that Presbyterian Homes has again earned the exclusive Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation - seal of excellence, which it has received consistently since 1990. Presbyterian Homes is only one of seven senior living organizations in the Chicagoland area, and its communities are just three of 2000 nationwide, to earn the CARF seal of excellence.
The CARF accreditation process requires an organization to commit to quality improvement, focus on the unique needs of each person served, and monitor the results of services. Accreditation is a sign of quality and should be an important consideration in the decision making process of selecting a community. Presbyterian Homes, Life Plan communities, Lake Forest Place, Westminster Place and The Moorings of Arlington Heights has earned the exclusive CARF accreditation for the fourth time since 1985.
