The original FUMC was made possible by many individual, church, and business contributions. The cornerstone of the central building, the Wesley Center, was laid in 1955. The close ties of the community to the church provide security in knowing that board members, administration, staff, residents, and volunteers are committed to continuing the tradition of quality service at FUMC. Likewise, it allows residents and their families to feel comfortable with the long-standing fiscal responsibility demonstrated over the last five decades. Click for a map of Our Campus Nestled in beautiful Franklin, Indiana, approximately 22 miles south of Indiana’s capital city, Indianapolis, Greenwood to the north and Columbus to the south, this location provides easy access to cultural, shopping, and recreational activities. A wide range of medical specialties is easily accessible, including three nationally recognized hospitals in the Indianapolis area: Methodist, St. Francis, and St. Vincent's.
