& Sunlight Memory Care Centers Medical and memory care needs of Sunrise residents have changed since we introduced the Bernstein and Sunlight Centers 25 years ago. To serve faithfully into the future, we must change, too.
We owe residents more.
Bernstein and Sunlight have aging and inefficient ventilation systems, small resident rooms, and inadequate restrooms that lack privacy. While other components of the Sunrise continuum set the standard for senior care, these facilities are no longer “best in class” in the field.
We can’t delay.
Connecting memory care residents with the beautiful chapel, indoor park, and other amenities in the now-new Sunrise Health Center will enrich their experiences and ensure an edge in a competitive senior market. There is no better way to round out our services to seniors, but the longer we wait, the older our other facilities become.
We have to do better.
Especially when there are wheelchairs involved, small bathrooms provide tight quarters for caregivers to assist residents—and that’s far from ideal. By creating more spacious restrooms, we’ll provide for the safety of our staff and the dignity of our elders. We’ll also secure the very latest in ADA compliance.
We must dream bigger.
Since 1959, we’ve welcomed more than 6,000 residents to the Sunrise campus. This new and exciting trajectory allows us to serve seniors with chronic confusion alongside those with different medical conditions. This means couples could stay together when one of them is memory impaired and the other is not. Will you help us?
Your gift will support far more than construction costs. It will secure our future…and your future, too…as we embrace life’s changes and invest in what really matters.
