Cedar Lake Village is a partnership between the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society and the Olathe Medical Center. Cedar Lake Village Inc. includes both Cedar Lake Village and Hoeger House, a short-term rehabilitation facility on our campus. CLV is managed by the Society and all employees are considered Good Samaritan employees.
Cedar Lake Village opened its doors in 2001 with 36 assisted living apartments and 48 senior living apartments. In 2006, CLV added another 54 senior living apartments. In 2007, the Villas began to take shape. CLV started out with four villas and have now grown to 22.
The 160-unit senior housing complex is designed to provide seniors with some supportive services. The senior living units offer residents age 55 and over the benefits of a personalized lifestyle combined with the security of community living. Those desiring a maintenance-free lifestyle may be interested in our Villas. A higher level of care is offered in Cedar Lake Village’s assisted living units. These combine housing with supportive services for seniors who want personalized attention but do not require traditional 24-hour skilled nursing care.
Also on our campus, Cedar Lake Village’s Hoeger House (pronounced "Hey•ger House") provides short-term rehabilitation for physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. It is focused on each person's needs for recovery and healing from hospitalization for surgery, injury, stroke or illness.
Cedar Lake Village is on the campus of Olathe Medical Center, and is one of only a few campuses in the country providing access to a full continuum of care. The campus currently includes acute and non-acute health care services, home health and hospice services, the Kansas Cardiovascular Center, The Women’s Health Center, the Kansas Joint Specialty Center, the Olathe Regional Oncology Center, 24-hour emergency services and Good Samaritan Society - Olathe, a skilled nursing facility with specialized dementia/Alzheimer’s unit.
The Olathe Medical Center campus is a one-stop shop for all aspects of senior wellness, and it is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and hotels. The Difference
What drives us each day is not people’s wants, but their needs—more specifically, their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
The argument for choosing Cedar Lake Village and the Good Samaritan Society is simple. It’s about an expression of love. It’s about dignity, compassion and trust that we will always provide those we serve with our very best—because we strive to emulate the life of service demonstrated by Christ. We are accountable to God and each other, and we know God’s love is present in the midst of every challenge and every celebration. And because we’ve experienced it, we seek to share that love in word and deed.
The Essential Truth That Makes Us Who We Are
Cedar Lake Village and The Good Samaritan Society are here to represent an essential truth. In standing by our actions and words, we invite people to come to their own conclusions. Because we have a strong set of beliefs about what’s important in life, we invite judgment on ourselves, and that helps us stay focused on what matters. Our residents and clients are cherished—each cared for in a way that suits their own physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We love them for who they are and what they have to offer. We strive to provide them with everything they need to live the whole of life. And each and every resident and client defines that for him or herself. Our Invitation
We provide those we serve with something that not every organization can: a chance to experience the love Jesus Christ has brought into our lives. It’s about showing our residents, clients, families, communities and each other that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone”.
