New Wilmington's complex is on it's fourth executive director in four years. The independent living services are slow to respond to concerns. The summer of 2023 the air conditioning chiller unit malfunctioned on and off for over a month. Two maintenance employees said the filters and other maintenance were not done for several years resulting in part of the malfunction. The weekend at the start of the big heat wave in 2024 again saw the unit non-functioning. There was no one with maintenance there or on call that would come in to get it started until Monday, requiring residents to be there all weekend without air conditioning in the rooms.

Since being purchased by PSCN, and under the most recent executive director, this previously well managed organization has not provided the personal support and care it had been known for. Emails are not returned by department heads and the E.D. There is consistently inadequate snow and ice removal. The kitchen and food service has deteriorated including some mealtimes run short of the entrees. Small bus capacity to take residents on outings. I no longer can recommend this facility.

Shenango on the Green provided excellent care for my aunt in the rehabilitation unit. The personnel and service were the best that I have seen. I highly recommend this facility. I give it a 5 star rating.
