My father was admitted to Wellsprings at 8 pm from a local hospital. He is a brittle diabetic and takes quite a few medications. We were told that they wouldn’t be able to administer his medication until the next day so I was asked to bring in a dose of his evening meds. Which I did in a baggie (no bottles) and no questions asked. The next morning, breakfast was served and his blood sugar was not checked nor insulin given. He also wasn’t given any of his scheduled meds because they were having “issues” to get them from a pharmacy. Lunch is served no blood sugars checked, no insulin given and no scheduled meds given. I spoke to the director of nursing and was given a million excuses of why his meds were not given. Again asked to bring in his full bottles of his home meds. I did just that and still meds not given. The director came to speak to us with a million excuses to make it right. 3 pm no meds, no blood sugar check and no insulin given. Our only option was to sign out AMA. BS680
