Central Valley Post Acute - Modesto

My father stayed at Modesto Post Acute recently due to a broken hip, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. First and foremost, despite being in a rehabilitation center, he received absolutely no physical therapy. He was left lying in his bed, unable to walk to the restroom, and was instructed by staff to relieve himself in his bed. This lack of basic care was appalling. The conditions of the facility were deplorable. The rooms were cramped with three patients each. Worse still, the facility reeked of feces and was unbearably hot due to the lack of air conditioning. Patients were frequently found partially or fully naked due to the sweltering Modesto summer heat. Basic necessities like liquids were denied to my father, leading to severe dehydration and malnourishment. His blood sugar and sodium levels were not monitored, which eventually resulted in him being rushed back to the hospital in an ambulance. It was a miracle he survived such neglect.
