Do not send anyone to this facility. It is called a "skilled nursing" facility but quite often, my husband was told "thats not my job." There were maybe 3 employees who knew what they were doing. The food wasn't good but he tried to eat. It was going right through him. He became weaker and weaker. The Hospitalist came once a week but only checked his vitals; asked no questions as to his condition. He eventually lost about 38 pounds before we got him out of there and back to the hospital ER where he was diagnosed with a serious Urinary Tract Infection and serious dehydration. He had bed sores and scars on his behind. After another week, he was sent to a "Real" rehab facility (Legacy at Willow Bend) where he was treated sooo much better, but was so weak, it took him a while to even stand. He was eventually told that Medicare said his time had run out and he had to be discharged. He has lost so much weight and is so weak, he will probably never get back to his old self. He finally came home May 2, and will continue to get home health care, but is definitely a changed person.
