Competent and caring staff. Room well decorated and large. Facilities clean. Has the usual challenges being in any large institution whether it be hospital or work place.

I have been here at Heartwood EC since 2021.When I got here I would have given it 1-2 stars but now that they have a new administration in place the difference is night and day.In the past the food was horrible,some of the staff seemed indifferent to patient needs and there was an overall lack of accountability.However since the new administrator (Mark Weerasinghe) has been here those issues have been resolved.The food is good,the staff seem more engaged and there is accountability and structure.More importantly patients feel like we are being heard because he takes the time to be hands on in problem solving and listening to the patient needs.So far all of the higher ups I have communicated with (Mark,Ms.Stout,Rhonda and Patrick)Have all promptly responded to me either in person or by email to address whatever concerns I have had.Even though there is always room for improvement I would give this place a solid 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it for your family members.
