Sue Gibson helps families find assisted living, memory care, board and care and independent living in San Luis Obispo county. She checks the state care and violation reports and only recommends safe options. When she first meets with a family Sue conducts an indepth Care Assessment to fully understand their needs – medical, social, financial, geographical, help with ADLs etc. She then selects several options that would be a good fit and shares a fact sheet with the family so they can preview the options. There are over 100 homes and communities in her territory. She tours with her family (live or virtually via zoom) to be there to ask and answer questions. She follows up 2, 7 and 30 days after move in to be sure all is going as planned. She has been doing placement for 9 years and has helped over 900 families. Sue is a trained Certified Senior Advisor – CSA and is a member of the NPRA. Before placement she had 20 years experience in pharmaceutical marketing, and 12 years with WebMD developing online educational programs for doctors and their patients. Sue has a Masters in Pharmaceutical Marketing. She also has a diploma in Hotel Administration and 5 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. Sue’s father has Parkinson’s Disease and dementia and she helped her family find a community for him in Canada. Sue is known for her compassion, patience and good listening skills. Sue lives with her partner Bob in their lovely home in Atascadero in the heart of her territory. She enjoys wine tasting, yoga and golf.
