About Jennifer
Jennifer grew up in New Hampshire and went to the University of New Hampshire where she received a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy and a master’s degree in health administration. She has worked in both operations and sales in senior living for more than 25 years. During this time, she managed the start-up operations of four new assisted living communities, two in Massachusetts and two in Florida. One of these start-up communities received “Best Assisted Living Community” in the Tampa Bay area from SeniorAdvisors.com in 2015. This experience provides her a unique ability to help families find the right senior housing.
Jennifer finds great joy in helping families through the often-difficult process of moving a loved one into senior living. Her satisfaction comes from watching an elder person transition and thrive in their new home. After much encouragement, her own grandmother entered senior living in her early nineties. Jennifer spent many nights talking with her on the phone. It wasn’t easy, but after two months, her grandmother invited the entire family to Thanksgiving dinner at her assisted living community. She was excited for us to meet her new friends and see her home. She spent the next eight years there with her friends until she passed.
Jennifer is a student of Teepa Snow. Teepa is a nationally renowned expert on caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Over the years, Jennifer has attended many of Teepa’s seminars. She prides herself on staying current in this area and enjoys being a resource, educator, and a sympathetic ear to families.
