Corey Goward has always had a desire to help people, so it is fitting that he found his way into senior housing placements. He has not always been so lucky. Corey's education is in finance and accounting. The entire time he was in school his mom would yell at me, “You are not an accountant!” “You need to work with people and help others.” He guesses when people say momma knows best, they are right. It took him six long years to realize that accounting was not for him. He needed to help people; it makes the work he does not feel like work. Corey finally made the career change to home health marketing 3 years ago and loved it. However, a social worker approached him about taking over part of her business. After helping his first family, there was no looking back. He enjoys every aspect, from taking the initial phone call, researching communities to meet the clients every need, and touring the communities with the family. He looks forward to helping more families in the near future in Austin, Texas.
