Fairly good in some respects, food good (high fats), facility clean and colorful, except for stains on dining room chairs. Aides noisy, shout and laugh, startles residents; sound is distorted for them! MUSIC TOO LOUD. Activities geared to mild to moderate, not those with advanced dementia, like my parent. FEES VERY HIGH, increased twice in 9 months. Executive Director Sheryl rude and dismissive on phone; warmer in person. Senior Staff give consistent impression we shouldn't call, and it bothers them when we call to ask how parent is doing. Nurse on duty did not return my two calls. I've been nervous to ever call again. They don't respect long-distant relatives & difficulties we face in terms of knowing how our relative is. They refuse to answer questions to more than one family member; but when that person is very old, the offspring of the resident are shut out of frequent communication. NOT ATTENTIVE ENOUGH when residents are in bad sundowning mode - much improvement needed here.

I would like to take a moment to share a review in light of my mother's three-month anniversary since moving to Sunscape Boca Raton. Relocating can be a challenging transition at any age, particularly when one is over 90 years old. However, the management team, led by Jan Bressler, has consistently provided exceptional service, addressing my mother's needs with the utmost professionalism and care. In these few months, we have celebrated three significant milestones in my mother’s journey. First, she no longer requires the wheelchair she relied on at her previous residence, thanks to the encouragement of her fellow residents and the attentive staff who have supported her in maintaining as much independence as possible. Second, she has gained 12 much-needed pounds, thanks to the delicious and well-balanced meals served three times a day, complete with desserts. Lastly, she has reconnected with her social side, forming new friendships in the safe and welcoming environment of Sunscape.
