The Admiral at the Lake is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community on the north side of Chicago with 200 units for Assisted Living, Memory Care & Independent Living. The Admiral provides accommodations for its residents in 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and garden town homes.
The community offers 24-hour emergency call systems, 24-hour security, and on-site short-term services for rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing (if applicable). Some of the notable features of its apartment suites include full kitchens, basic cable TV, high-speed Wifi, individually controlled heating and cooling, large windows with impressive views, all utilities, washer/dryer in every residence, salon and spa, garage parking, and 9-foot ceilings. Some of the communities features include a juice bar, bistro, restaurant-style dining room and private dining room, indoor heated pool, fitness center, rooftop terraces, a performing arts room with stage and grand piano, library, a floor for exercise and yoga classes, a crafts room, and more. As far as available services go, there is weekly housekeeping service, scheduled transportation, and a community dining room.
The Admiral at the Lake was renovated and opened in July 2012. Directly adjacent to the community is Mariano's grocery store and the Red Line of the Chicago Transit Authority. Within a short distance is Lake Michigan, Waveland Park Golf Course, Belmont Harbor and many great restaurant districts.
