The secure property offers 24-hour support staff for residents who need Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living, Skilled Nursing, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Hospice Care services. Its facility is pet-friendly. Formerly it was called The Baptist home of Philadelphia (founded in 1869).
Deer Meadows Retirement Community affords a range of luxurious floor plans such as studios, one-bedroom units, and spacious 2-bedroom suites. A few examples of the resident services at Deer Meadows include assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and toileting. There is a nurse on staff -- an on-call doctor. The community also offers a wide array of features and amenities such as a wellness center, concierge service, a "Nurse-Call System," on-site Chapel, gift shop, auditorium, and several common activities areas. Other benefits include a beauty salon and barbershop, telephones and cable TV access. Deer Meadows has a "BRAND NEW" secure dementia unit to serve its residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Residency includes daily activities, 24-hour available staff, 3 meals per day, a private dining room, security, housekeeping, physicians, and Wifi.
There is a Walton Conference Center with 125 seats, which is a popular site for resident activities.
