Civitas Senior Living was founded in 2012, and has provided independent living, assisted living, and memory care for over 22 years. Led by Founders Wayne and Misti Powell, this family-run company was recognized as a Great Place to Work in 2022-2023. Civitas embodies a founder-led culture which is deeply focused on their employees as a conduit for excellence in care and senior programming.

Civitas stands out for it's distinctive programs. The My Wellness program integrates preferences into individualized care plans, while the My Activities program promotes engagement, fostering mental, social, and physical well-being with a variety of activities. Special events like Housewarming Parties and programs such as Fit For You, Green Thumb Club, and Art Throb Club cater to diverse interests. The community emphasizes resident involvement through outreach projects, an Employee Engagement Program, Resident Spotlight, and My Miracle Moment events. Additionally, the My Food program focuses on personalized culinary experiences, including interactive cooking demonstrations, themed dinners, and a MINDful Menu for brain health. I have only been at The Bluffs for a short time, but it has already been a great experience. Downsizing from my house to assisted living was a difficult transition but the staff have genuinely helped me through the adjustment. They genuinely care and seem to have my best interests at heart. I've also been impressed with the upgraded apartments and the amenities that are available here. So far, I would definitely recommend The Bluffs to anyone looking for a great place to live.
