Five Star Senior Living

With 175 communities across the country and more than 15,900 residents, Five Star Senior Living was founded in 2000 and has been in business for 25 years. These communities offer independent living, assisted living, memory care, and respite care services to older adults, helping them maintain as much independence as possible as they age. Led by CEO Jeffrey Leer, Five Star is frequently recognized by the "Best of the Best" Awards from the Assisted Living Federation of America and the American Health Care Association's Quality Awards. 

Five Star communities offer Lifestyle360 programming to residents, enriching their intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. As one of the largest senior living providers in the country, and the second in operating continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), Five Star is an Aleris Life company. The Latin "aleris" means to "foster, nourish, and develop," a reflection of their values and approach to senior care. This rebranding was announced in 2022, though the Five Star brand will continue to operate independently, as will its associated Ageility division of rehabilitation clinics. Aleris Life represents the overall portfolio's dedication to expansion as the US population over 65 continues to grow. My 95 year old Mother moved to Independent Living at the Forum in October of 2017 -- wonderful place, very clean, good food, and wonderful people looking after her. It took her a while to adjust but with the help of the excellent staff she settled in quickly. Recently she developed pneumonia and was taken to the hospital. When she was released she was sent to the Forum's medical care unit where she was also treated by an excellent staff.
