I cannot begin to express the enjoyment I had as a recovering hip replacement patient at this facility. The staff was professional besides being upbeat. The Physical And Occupational Therapists were dedicated and helpful. Rooms are lovely. Food is outstanding and varied. My last meal before coming home was favorite. Meat loaf. Mashed potatoes brown gravy, green beans.

rosewood staff is so nice..they really care about the residents that are in there..i am there visiting my mother at least 2 times a week and i observe the way staff interact with the residents...its so wonderful to sit and watch how the staff at rosewood care about the people there...i would recommend that nursing center to anyone that cant care for a loved one at home....rosewood is definitely the place you want them to be...

Nothing but good things to say about Amelia Place. It has a very cozy courtyard with comfortable seats. The food is delicious and they make sure their residents feel at home. They also provide community outings and have a robust social and recreational program for the residents. They even have a hair salon on site! Despite the difficulties during COVID, they are committed to providing quality care and to thier families. The staff are also highly involved in activities and events within the community. Every time I visit, they greet me with a smile.

Things that I like about Oakley Courts Assisted Living in Freeport, IL for my loved one are: The grounds around the facility are kept beautiful, there’s a large patio with plenty of chairs for residents to enjoy the outdoors, a beautician on-site for a fraction of the cost, chair exercise offered in the mornings, three meals a day, managed medications administered by a nurse, activities and some entertainment, nice comfortable rooms with kitchenette/living space, bedroom, large walk in closet and bathroom. I have found the staff pleasant and caring. I’m glad my loved one is well cared for at Oakley Courts. My only issue is with the meals served because of the salt and sugar content. This is not just an issue with Oakley Courts. In my research this is an issue around the country. I’m sure it would be difficult to cater to dietary needs especially if you have diabetes or heart disease, etc. I just wish chefs/cooks could be more aware of salt and sugar content.

My sister Diane was in need of assisted living, with a care plan that would address blood sugar testing twice a day w insulin given in the morning. The entire staff was and is very welcoming. A very thorough interview is completed with a huge focus on the residents personal & medical needs. The physical layout of the home is user friendly, with dual entrances to a beautiful courtyard. The dining room is very inviting with such an elegant setting. One feels as if they are in a fine dining restaurant. The opportunity to select food choices from a printed menu is amazing. Dining in a lovely atmosphere, 3 meals a day would make any resident feel good. Allowing guests to join a resident is a huge plus. Our society does a lot of family time w meals. It is such a thoughtful aspect for the residents. The opportunity for scheduled bath assistance, personal laundry, housekeeping. All of these amenities give the resident a sense of well being.
