Gateway Transitional Care Center

The best way I can explain Gateway is I would not take a dead dog here!! Seriously, they are absolutely horrible! I would give 10 negative stars, but that is not an option and it makes me give a star rating so I HAD to give a one star. My grandmother was sent her for rehabilitation after breaking her hip and the care she received was what a dead animal would recieive. I brought attention to many upper hand staff and was ignored. (Some of the staff which was about 4 people were very kind and caring and took good care of her). I truly believe because my grandmother had Alzheimer's she was treated poorly because they knew they could get away with it. I never imagined that humankind could be so horrible in how they treat people who are in a place like this for care relying on these so called people for healthcare. These people are sent to these facilities because they NEED the care and they should be given that dignity, loving care till they pass. I am just so disgusted with how these residents are treated and I am amazed how they have not been shut down. After witnessing what not only my grandmother went through, but other residents I have gone back to school to become a health care administrator. Once I graduate I am going take over Gateway and make it an absolutely wonderful place for patients who are treated with the best care possibly as if they were my own family. I'm coming for you Gateway and I am going to turn this place around!!
