Imagine going to a nice restaurant -marketed as the best in the city. U order a really nice steak for $300. After waiting for 30 min & no steak. U have to go find your waiter & ask. They apologize & say they are short staffed- it will be out soon. Eventually u get the steak-but it has a chunk cut out of it & is only 3/4 the steak u ordered. U ask the waiter. He says “yeah, the beef supply chains are messed up. We had to reduce portions to be able to serve all our guests.” No apology. No reduced price. No simply serving less guests. U r expected to pay full price for a 3/4 steak. Then the guest one table over says “it’s not perfect, but it’s the best in town. The place down the street is only giving people 1/2 steaks”
