00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:01.220
Mess that up my bad.
2
00:00:02.230 --> 00:00:21.429
Christine Healy: Good morning. We just had a flop. So we're starting over again. Okay, Arthur is so nice to talk to you. I'm really excited to ask you questions today, but before we get into it I'd love for you to share a little bit about your background. Yeah. So people know who we're getting advice from.
3
00:00:21.430 --> 00:00:44.550
arthurbretschneiderimac: Yeah, totally. So I've been working in the senior living industry for about 20 years my family built and operated assisted living communities here on the West Coast. I started senior because I really saw firsthand how hard it was for families to find communities, especially ones that were good fit. And so you know, over the years I've personally helped
4
00:00:44.550 --> 00:01:12.650
arthurbretschneiderimac: hundreds of families find some great options. And of course, here at Senior League we help thousands of families every year find great community. So 20 years of experience. And I know it's informed by a lot of first hand experience working and senior living yourself. So the first question I have I'd love for you to tell me a little bit about a community and Fort Worth that we've been seeing a lot of interest in on our site, which is the Tra. The tradition clear for it. It's hard to say, though.
5
00:01:12.650 --> 00:01:43.879
arthurbretschneiderimac: Yeah, so it. It's a brand new community. I think they are starting. Take reservations right now. It's, you know, the I think, the way to think about it is almost more like a resort versus a a senior, living sort of community that that you might think of. It's it, you know. It's kind of built in a in a sense that almost looks more like a campus where there's this Big 9 story tower, and then a 5 story tower, and they have independent living, assisted, living memory care so really are able to offer a full continuum of care and the
6
00:01:43.880 --> 00:02:08.800
one of the great things about it, you know. I'll get into sort of the care in the building, but the location is also like pretty phenomenal, you know. It's it's it's as you mentioned. It's sort of in Central Fort Worth, Texas. It's near, you know, River Hollow and Overton Woods and Tanglewood. It's just really like nice and centrally located, and it's only a 10 min drive to Cow town. So you know, when, whether you're an independent, you know, more independent living, and you're you're living there yourself, and you might be
7
00:02:08.800 --> 00:02:17.030
Christine Healy: driving still in, in really wanting to be in a in a great location or when folks are visiting you. You know, there's just so much around there.
8
00:02:17.030 --> 00:02:42.020
Christine Healy: Yeah, my in-laws live in Fort Worth, and it's also because it's so close to Dallas. It's really easy to get in, for, you know, if you want to go to, you know, and show or an event. Yeah, great location. It certainly looks like it's going to be a great option for for older adults there and they've they've built the you know, as I mentioned. It's you know, it's it's like a resort, you know. They've built these like inclusive services. All inclusive services. There's
9
00:02:42.370 --> 00:03:10.839
arthurbretschneiderimac: the so the larger sort of building supports about 200 older adults, and you know, one in bedroom. Sorry one and 2 bedroom apartments. And then sort of the assisted living memory care community can support about 95 residents in their again, one and 2 bedroom apartments. And so you know, there it. This is a larger community. It's certainly they're not holding back when it comes to services and amenities. They've they've got.
10
00:03:10.840 --> 00:03:30.919
arthurbretschneiderimac: you know, a lot of what people would would want and expect, and of course they go. They go beyond that. You know few things, maybe to also think about with this particular community. I think it's II really, as I, you know, look at it and think about it. It's just really great for independent living folks as well. It's just close to everything. I mean, it's
11
00:03:30.920 --> 00:03:50.559
arthurbretschneiderimac: literally around the corner from the shops at Clear Fork. The Mall right there. You know, there's movie theater. The building has water views at the Clear Fork, Trinity River. Just a a really nice a nice area and tradition. So the the the company is actually owned. And
12
00:03:50.560 --> 00:04:07.419
arthurbretschneiderimac: yeah, so it's it's actually locally owned and operated. So you know, a a gentleman named Jonathan Pearlman, who had been in the industry for quite a while. Had this vision to develop a new style of living in Texas. And his group now operates
13
00:04:07.420 --> 00:04:11.900
arthurbretschneiderimac: 5 different communities in Texas. In Dallas, Houston and Fort Worth.
14
00:04:12.220 --> 00:04:33.909
Christine Healy: Yeah. And one of the things that I remember you telling me once is these, some of these smaller communities. There's a little bit more independence in terms of you know how you operate, how you operate the budget. So they have. They're able to be a little more customer focused, maybe, than some of the larger chains. So this one seems like it's hitting the best of both worlds where it's big, it's it's luxurious, but also like a very small
15
00:04:33.920 --> 00:04:35.699
Christine Healy: community feel.
16
00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:54.219
arthurbretschneiderimac: I think that's right, you know, and I think it's always beneficial to have sort of the, you know, the operator coming like being a local operator. It just does create that environment, that community feel. And so this. This should be no different cool. I can't wait. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I'm gonna go check it out.
17
00:04:54.250 --> 00:04:57.610
arthurbretschneiderimac: Let's do it. Thanks, Christina.
