I have a family member here and it is a locked unit with what you can tell as you walk through the nice hall vs. walking to the locked unit. As soon as you get into locked hall, paint and walls are different and rooms have nothing in them. My family member has dementia and is aggressive towards staff and me. I am thankful some place took her and is taking care of her. She hasn’t been to hospital in 6 months. The old nursing home sent her to the hospital every time she had an aggressive episode. Dementia is hard but even harder to find a locked unit that takes Medicaid and Medicare. I am thankful for those nurses as they deal with a lot of crazy people with all sorts of diseases. God bless them. Owners- if you could put new furniture in rooms and paint the walls and spend the money to get new floors that look nice. It would make patients not feel as they are in a mental ward. Also you need to get a business manager and a social worker that helps with benefits. No one is ever there.
