Overall the facility is relatively new and bright. Especially when compared to other facilities that I have visited. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. Activities are ok but there is a lot of time spent watching TV too which is probably true in most similar facilities. Rooms are nice and there are larger rooms that are spacious and companion suites as well, though they are obviously more expensive but among the largest I have seen, and I visited many. The bad: Food, not so good and at times inedible. Another reviewer mentioned the call button and I agree completely agree. Several times it took at least 45 minutes for a response and on one other occasion there was no response at all. If there had been a bona fide emergency I’m not sure that the outcome would not have been tragic. If my mother had not made friends there and if not for the presence of one particular staff member who goes way above and beyond I would have probably taken her to another facility.
